Judas Moseamedi Returns: Kaizer Chiefs Slayer Back In The Spotlight

Judas Moseamedi Kaizer Chiefs : Judas Moseamedi, the South African striker who became one of the most dangerous players for Kaizer Chiefs has a story to tell. People love talking about him because he came through big time for big teams. Now, he once again has the spotlight and with it, memories of how his goals tormented Amakhosi.

The Rise Of A “Kaizer Chiefs Slayer”

Tzaneen was Moseamedi’s first stepping stone as he joined Maritzburg United. However, he became a household name because of Kaizer Chiefs in the 2019/20 season. A season in which he scored important goals for the Mbombela stadium giants most notably his double which knocked Chiefs out of the Nedbank Cup.

He became infamous for the crucial goals he scored and was remembered for “Kaizer Chiefs Slayer” because of how he consistently punished Amakhosi. Fans and pundits always joked that Moseamedi could go mute for months in the league, but when Kaizer Chiefs was on the schedule, he would be the first to find the net.

Fans Still Remember His Magic

Even now, supporters discuss Moseamedi’s inconsiderate habit of showing up every time Kaizer Chiefs played ‘heroes versus villains.’On social media, there’s a repetitive story about him wrapping up seasons with almost zero goals and still managing to net the majority of them against Amakhosi. It was a trait that Kaizer Chiefs supporters struggled to accept but made him a memorable character to those who root for the underdog.

Where Is He Now?

Since his memorable performance at Maritzburg United, the 31-year-old has been somewhat of a journeyman. After spells at Stellenbosch FC and Marumo Gallants, he attempted to further his career in Tunisia. Subsequent to that, he came back to South African football with Venda FC, but has been without a club since July of this year.

His absence from the Premier Soccer League for over two seasons hasn’t discouraged speculation that a PSL club might give him another shot. His name pops up in arguments frequently, especially when Kaizer Chiefs are missing cutting edge in attack, and fans reminisce about the spells when he was a one-man wrecking crew with his goals.

Can He Haunt Kaizer Chiefs Again?

At 31, return to the top leagues isn’t out of the question, even if the battle for a spot is tight. It seems like the age of Moseamedi will not be remembered for any other reason than the goals that he delivered to Kaizer Chiefs. Those strikes at Mbombela will forever be etched as some of the most memorable instances of his career.
