Who Is Eligible For The R3,070 Grant For August 2025?
The grant is for the poorest WO worthy of the country, aiding the most vulnerable citizens. According to SASSA, the following groups shall receive the payment:
- Older Persons’ Pensioners- Those aged persons who rely on the monthly old-age pension are confirmed for the R3,070 payment in August.
- Disability Grant Beneficiaries- Disabled persons in South Africa who qualify according to SASSA criteria form another category of recipients.
- Care Dependency Grants- Families who take care of children with serious disabilities are entitled to this amount.
- War Veterans- Small numbers of persons falling into this category will also be paid the R3,070 grant.

Beneficiaries can have their payments for the grants through-
- Direct bank deposits into beneficiaries’ bank accounts,
- Using the SASSA gold cards at AMTOs-Automated Teller Machines,
- Through approved retail outlets such as Shoprite and Pick n Pay.
SASSA has urged that beneficiaries update their banking details from time to time and only follow the official communication channels when doing so to protect themselves from becoming victims of scams.
