SRD R370 August Payment Pending : Here’s a good piece of news for all thousands of South Africans who were waiting for their SRD R370 payments: The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has blamed delays-and now assured-that all pending August 2025 payments will be cleared by the 14th of September 2025. Beneficiaries are now being urged to confirm their eligibility status to ensure they don’t miss out on the payments.
This comes at a time when many recipients have been looking anxiously at their bank accounts and checking their status on the SASSA Site to understand why they did not see the August SRD R370 payments reflected therein. SASSA in turn has given clarity on the matter, promising that the delays will be rectified within the next couple of weeks.
Why Were August SRD Payments Delayed?
According to officials, the delays were caused by verification checks and systems updates. Each SRD application is subjected to various levels of verification, which include:
- Checking identities with Home Affairs.
- Confirming banking details are correct.
- Checking income statuses with SARS and UIF databases.
